Dr. Pareshkumar Patel attended B.J. Medical College and graduated with First Class Honors. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ, where he was recognized and received an award for excellence in clinical research. Dr. Patel participated as a clinical investigator in many clinical trials during his time in training. His residency was followed by a one-year chief medical residency, where his leadership and natural gift for teaching was highly valued by his fellow residents. Dr. Patel also has experience as an academic hospitalist and was an assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University for several years. It was at this time that Dr. Patel gravitated towards his true calling and decided to pursue a Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship, followed by a Hematology and Oncology Fellowship. Dr. Patel is quadruple Board Certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology, Internal Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Care. Dr. Patel is the current president of the Capital Medical Society.
