I have been a consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology for the last 13 years and have published many papers. I am a champion of expert patient programme and have taught patients to take control of their disease. My efforts in this area were recognised by Dept of Health. I am an examiner of post graduate exam in medicine. I have been divisional director for Dept of Medicine for last 6 years
