Dr. Philip Chetcuti graduated from Nottingham University in 1982 and trained in a number of UK centres including the National Heart and Lung Hospital in London. He has over 35 years of experience in paediatrics. In 1986 he spent a year at the Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, one of the worlds leading hospitals; where he trained in respiratory paediatrics and undertook research in a congenital lung abnormality. Dr. Chetcuti has been involved in research and has published multiple papers/articles and completed a research degree in 1992; pursuing his passion for research. Dr. Chetcuti has been a consultant paediatrician since 1992. He has extensive experience in managing a wide variety of paediatric problems. At Leeds General Infirmary he works in respiratory paediatrics, neonatology and allergy and immunology. He also worked in general paediatrics until 2008 and still does regular general paediatric clinics. In addition, he is the lead clinician for the North of England PCD service- Primary Cilary Dyskinesia is an uncommon cause of chronic lung damage in children. Dr. Chetcuti was the principal regional examiner for the MRCPCH (Postgraduate Paediatric Examination ) for Yorkshire and Humber 2005-2015.
