Dr Hmidan is a Canadian citizen, with over 20 years of practice in the otorhinolaryngology field in several countries. He is well versed in the treatment of chronic tonsillitis and adenoiditis, chronic sinusitis, rhino septoplasty, sleep disorders, apnoea and allergies. He has extensive training and work experience obtained from various medical assignments, including the largest hospital in Syria, Al-Mouassat and Al-Assad university hospitals, Kasr el-aini Hospital in Egypt, University College London (U.C.L), Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, London, and as Consultant, E.N.T, Head & Neck at Riyadh King Faisal Hospital, to mention a few. He performs extensive minor surgeries, and major surgeries in otorhinolaryngology (FESS, tympanometry, mastoidectomy, laryngectomies, head and neck reconstruction by flap-technique and removal of foreign bodies from the aero-digestive tract). He has assisted in major operations e.g. total maxillictomy and removal of angiofibroma. He is in possession of a PHD in otorhinolaryngology, head and neck surgery, an Arab board certified medical doctor, and has a master degree and diploma from Damascus University, MOH, Syria. He is An A.H.I.P Membership of hearing instrument practitioner, ADP Ontario ministry of health, Canada, and holds membership of the Syrian Otolaryngology Society, Syrian Medical Council, Europe Aesthetic society, Qatar National Health Authority, Saudi Council, KSA, Yemen Medical Council, and Medical Council of Canada.
