Dr. Nwobi is an exemplary vascular surgeon who worked for the Indian Health Services, Veterans Affairs Hospital, and large private and public hospitals. Dr. Nwobi graduated with highest honors from East Tennessee State University with a dual degree in English and chemistry. He then received his medical degree on a scholarship from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. After medical school, Dr. Nwobi completed his internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, followed by a fellowship in vascular surgery at the Albany Medical Center/The Vascular Group PLLC in Albany, NY, one of the largest single-specialty, peripheral vascular centers in the country. Dr. Nwobi also completed a master’s degree in public health (MPH) from the prestigious Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with an emphasis on health care management and international health. In addition, he is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI), which means he is certified to read and interpret all vascular ultrasounds performed in his clinics. As a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, Dr. Nwobi is dedicated to the highest standards of patient care and continuing development of professional skills and competence.
