Mr. NP Manjunatha is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust and BMI, The Meriden Hospital, Coventry. Previously he has worked as a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. He has 20 years of experience as an Eye specialist. He was Clinical Lead of department of Ophthalmology, UHCW for the past 8 years. He is currently Lead for Medical retina and Diabetic retinopathy service at UHCW. He graduated in year 1998 and did MD in Ophthalmology at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. He became a Member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London.He went on to carry out his sub-specialty training in Medical retina and general ophthalmology including cataract surgery, as a senior clinical fellowship at Birmingham. He is involved in eye research trails and has several national and international publications and presentations. He was finalist for 'Leader of the year - 2019' at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. His team were also finalist for the prestigious national 'HSJ awards'. Mr. Manjunatha remains very passionate about medical education, staff training and research.
