Dr. Nishita Patel has already earned a reputation in Mount Dora as “the gentle dentist with small hands.” Dr. Patel is a general dentist but exceptional in ways that are very important to today’s patients. (1) She spends time getting to know her patients and understanding their health histories and oral health concerns. (2) She spends time explaining why conditions of the mouth have developed and how comfort, health, function, and beauty can be restored. (3) When her patient fully understands the WHY of treatment, she collaborates with the patient to develop a personal treatment plan that takes into consideration the patient’s preferences. (4) As with all Smile Design Dentistry dentists, she strives to make oral health care affordable and will do everything she can to help you meet your smile objectives. Dr. Patel is originally from Gujarat, India where she received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) After two years of clinical practice in India, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) with honors from SUNY University at Buffalo, New York. After nine years of diagnosing and treating patients, her passion for dentistry and helping others has grown. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also a post-doctoral student of the Dawson Academy. She is diligent in her pursuit to stay current in providing the profession’s leading dental care procedures while delivering the highest level of dental care in a gentle, comfortable and compassionate manner. Among her developed areas of expertise are crown and bridge work, dentures, and cosmetic dentistry, including Invisalign® Treatment.
