Nicos has been a Consultant at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust since April 2012. He is currently involved in renal, pancreas as well as paediatric transplantation. He performs hand-assisted retroperitoneoscopic live donor nephrectomy, vascular access, peritoneal dialysis catheter insertion, parathyroidectomy and general surgery for renal patients. He is an Honorary Consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College, London. He became the Surgical Lead for Paediatric Transplantation at these two hospitals in 2016. He is also an examiner for European Diploma in Transplant Surgery, European Union of Medical Specialists – European Board of Transplant Surgery since 2014. In 2017, Nicos became a member of the EKITA (European Kidney Transplant Association, part of European Society for Organ Transplantation) board and is part of the organising committee for the 2019 ESOT meeting in Denmark. In addition, he teaches on the LiDo course and is co-creating an e-learning platform on Paediatric Transplantation on behalf of ESOT.
