Neeta Varshney, MD, is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist trained in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease. Dr. Varshney is an accomplished surgeon and enjoys using the latest technologies available to deliver the highest degree of care to her patients. She is committed to delivering the type of eye care that she would want for her own family. Dr. Varshney is a native of Southern California who comes from a family of physicians. After completing high school as class valedictorian, she later graduated summa cum laude from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, where she double-majored in biology and psychology. She received her medical degree (MD) with honors in 2009 from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. During her education, she consistently scored at the top of her class and was honored to hold various leadership roles, including that of National Medical Student President of the American Medical Women's Association. After completing a transitional internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Varshney went on to complete ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. She has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and research studies that have been presented at various annual meetings of national ophthalmological organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Retina Society. She is also fluent in Spanish.
