Dr. Al-Guboori was awarded a full scholarship to medical school at Baghdad University, Iraq, from where she graduated in 1989. Prior to pursuing postgraduate education in the US, she worked in hospitals in Iraq and Jordan. She finished her training on the Vanderbilt University affiliated Psychiatry programme and was certified by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 2008.
