Mujahid Hines, M.D. is a board certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist (Eye Surgeon and Physician). He specializes in refractive cataract surgery and prides himself on offering his patients the most advanced options for their vision needs including laser assisted cataract surgery and premium intraocular lenses. He also provides comprehensive eye examinations and is skilled in the early detection and treatment of diabetes, glaucoma, and other ocular diseases. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology/Biomedical Science. He received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma Medical School where he was named the McKinley Williams Scholar of his graduating class. He subsequently completed his medical internship at Unity Health System in Rochester, New York, and was recognized as the Intern of the Year. Dr. Hines completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Flaum Eye Institute of the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. In 2016, he was selected as a Super Doctor Rising Star by Texas Monthly Magazine. Dr. Hines is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Phi Beta Kappa academic society. He has published numerous scientific articles and is passionate about continuing his interest in patient education and community service. He frequently holds seminars for students interested in pursuing careers in the medical profession. In his spare time, Dr. Hines enjoys traveling, hiking, and cooking with his wife. Even though he was raised in Oklahoma, he is an avid fan of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys.
