Muhammad H Ather is a fulltime Pain Management consultant currently working at Queens Hospital Romford and King George’s Hospital Ilford. This is one of the largest acute NHS Trusts in the UK. Both these hospitals are affiliated with St Mary’s University and UCLH London. He is actively involved not only in delivering the service but developing a fully integrated multi-disciplinary pain service for the Trust. His 25+ years of clinical pain management experience has not diminished the pleasure Dr Ather gets from his work, the fun and satisfaction he gets from teaching and the excitement clinical challenges that his job throws at him on almost a daily basis. He is a Intervention Pain Management Consultant which is where most of his experience is. He is competent with the vast majority of pain management procedures including the management with Cool Radiofrequency of the spine, major joints etc. His results in intervention pain procedures are extremely good. He performs spinal procedures including cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions including the dorsal root ganglion pulse radiofrequency. He also performs disc procedures including lumbar Laser disc decompression and PRP therapy. He also performs Cool Radiofrequency of the knee, hip and shoulder joints to relieve its symptoms. He also performs PRP Therapy of these major joints. He has organized Hands-On Bio-skills lab workshops and symposia for the interventional pain management since 2001. He had been a member on the Board of Examiners and Executive Board of Directors for the World Institute of pain (WIP). He offers the very best treatments and after care for patients from London, Essex and surrounding areas.
