With a BSc in Occupational Therapy from the University of Cumbria and a Train the Trainer Certification in Manual Handling, I am an Occupational Therapist at Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, where I support the health and wellbeing of adults and children with complex needs. I apply my skills in manual handling, risk assessment, and safeguarding to ensure safe and effective care delivery, and I collaborate with other professionals and agencies to provide holistic and person-centred solutions. I have over 5 years of experience in the field, having previously worked as an Occupational Therapist at NHS for 1.5 years. There, I contributed to the improvement of the quality of life and independence of people with disabilities, injuries, and chronic conditions, by providing assessments, interventions, and adaptations. I am passionate about my role and I am committed to continuous learning and professional development, as well as to the values and standards of the profession.
