Dr. Saleh Dhumad is a consultant psychiatrist and has worked as a full time NHS consultant at Brent Mental Health Services, in Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment for 6 years, and General Adult and Rehabilitation consultant for 2 years. He has extensive skill and experience in assessing and treating people from different ethnic backgrounds, with a range of mental health issues. Dr Dhumad started training as a psychiatrist in 2000 in Sheffield then joined St Marys scheme in London.Dr. Dhumad received Core training in adult psychiatry, old age psychiatry, learning disability, forensic psychiatry and substance misuse. He then went on to undertake his specialist training as a registrar in Adult psychiatry, Old age psychiatry and Substance misuse (addictions).Dr Dhumad has a special interest in cognitive and behavioural understanding of mental health difficulties. He has a Masters degree in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. He prides himself on his unique multidimensional approach where he examines each patients emotional wellbeing in the context of their cultural, spiritual, social, psychological and physical background; creating a personalised treatment plan for every individual patient- he knows that one size does not fit all in the context of psychiatry and he works hard to ensure that every patients individual needs are met.
