I am currently working as a Lead Technician for Surgery in Royal Bournemouth Hospital part of the University Hospitals Dorset Trust. This is a challenging role balancing the demands of the wards with the skill mix of the personnel available within the team. I promote a wider understanding of the role of Pharmacy on the ward, assisting the wider multidiscplinary team with queries, acquiring urgent medication quickly and efficiently within the limitations of my role. I ensure that medication provided is within the Dorset formulary following NICE guidelines, protocols and hospital policy.
