Dr. Bays joined Gastroenterology Associates of S. W. Florida, P.A. in 1995. He received his Pharmacy Degree from Ferris State University. He received his Medical Degree and his Internal Medicine Residence from Michigan State University. He completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Providence Hospital in Southfield Michigan. He is presently the Director of Osteopathic Medical Education in Fort Myers, and an Assistant Clinical Professor at Nova Osteopathic University, and Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine.​
