Methylin ER controlled-release tablets are used for treating attention deficit disorders (eg, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder [ADHD]). It is also used to treat uncontrollable periods of daytime sleep (narcolepsy). It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. Methylin ER controlled-release tablets are a central nervous system stimulant. Exactly how it works is not known.
