I graduated from Yale and then got my MD from Medical University of South Carolina. I completed my psychiatry residency at UNC Chapel Hill and worked in mental health clinics and later as Director of Psychiatry at Person Memorial Hospital. I enjoyed medication management but became most excited about the long lasting effects of psychotherapy. I have a great deal of experience caring for individuals with a wide variety of emotional and behavioral issues and I now want to focus my knowledge and insights on treating these issues with psychotherapy.Life can feel overwhelming and we all need support. My desire is to provide quality care in a safe, respectful and compassionate environment where we can work collaboratively to promote healing and growth. Our sessions will be a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment. A place to explore and process difficult thoughts and emotions.I take a holistic approach and utilize a variety of interventions tailored for each individual's specific needs. Together we will work towards gaining balance and resilience. I look forward to joining you on a journey towards a richer, more meaningful life.
