Please note: Dr. Wassel is a Family Medicine provider. Although they are able to prescribe most medications, the provider is not a psychiatrist / therapist. This provider cares for patients from teens to adults and seniors with geriatric concerns. Melanie Wassel is a board-certified Adult and Geriatric Nurse practitioner. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Rutgers University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Thomas Jefferson University. She has served the community as a primary care provider for the past 18 years and has also served the nursing profession as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Rutgers University through 2020. She currently is focused on providing outstanding primary care to patients 18 years and older with a strong focus on disease prevention and health promotion.
