I am obsessed with drug delivery and its interaction with the human body to support patient lives. I am seeking future opportunities which will allow me to combine my love of science, teaching and patient care. Scientist 🧪 I develop nanoparticles to increase drug solubility, therefore enhancing their clinical usability. My research focuses primarily on ocular drug delivery. Through understanding the ocular surface chemistry, I create formulations with the final target in mind. Teacher 🎓 I work closely with The Brilliant Club to support secondary school students to develop the skills they need to succeed at university and inspire the next generation of scientists. Designing and delivering research content for KS4 pupils has been the most challenging and rewarding highlight of my career to date. I deliver lectures and experiments, allowing students to appreciate the role of fundamental science in higher education. Furthermore, we introduce students to basic concepts such as referencing literature and presentation skills. Pharmacist 💊 As a locum pharmacist, I am responsible for the overall management of a pharmacy. Working in the centre of a community, I interact with various professionals and patients from different backgrounds, allowing me to sharpen my communication skills. I am proud to help my patients by providing lifestyle advice and managing medicine use.
