As an Emergency Room Technician, I am responsible for applying cardiac monitors, performing EKG's, carrying out wound care and setting up sterile fields. I participate in trauma activation and I am trained in phlebotomy. Other responsibilities include: -Assisting with the immediate triage, treatment and prioritization of patients including those that are critically ill. -Applying orthopedic interventions as directed by emergency department providers. -Abiding by proper HIPPA regulations. -Maintaining open and effective communication with emergency department providers. -Patient safety advocacy. I have an active license in Basic Life Support and am experienced in medical documentation.
