Dr. Raouf is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine. He currently practices at McMackin & Zimnoch, PC, a well-established private clinic located in the heart of Washington, DC. Dr. Raouf completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Washington Hospital Center, a Georgetown-affiliated hospital in Washington, DC. Dr. Raouf provides comprehensive care to patients in a safe supportive environment. He is passionate about helping others and joined medicine for the express purpose of providing excellent care to his community. His approach to medicine is both evidence-based and patient centered. He is attentive to patients’ concerns and engages them in setting realistic and achievable health goals. He is committed to building strong rapport with patients to gain mutual trust as he builds long-term relationships with them. Dr. Raouf provides a full spectrum of primary care, with a particular focus on HIV medicine, chronic disease management, preventative medicine, LGBTQ+ and gender-affirming care, as well as STI prevention and screening. Dr. Raouf was born in Fort Collins, Colorado and grew up across the United States, Iraq, and Jordan. He graduated from the University of Jordan School of Medicine with honors in 2015. Prior to starting residency, Dr. Raouf served as a medical advisor for the Middle East Children’s Institute in Amman, Jordan where he cared for underprivileged refugees from Syria and Iraq.
