Christina Sanders brings 25 years of clinical nursing experience to Vera Juris. She leads the firm's medical-legal consulting activities and is responsible for managing all client casework. Additionally, Christina is a nurse practitioner expert witness for both plaintiff and defense cases. Christina was educated at Johns Hopkins University where she earned a bachelors and masters degree in nursing. During nursing school, Ms. Sanders received multiple awards for clinical expertise and academic excellence. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an adult nurse practitioner. She also received a bachelor’s degree in government with a concentration in public policy from the University of Notre Dame before starting nursing school. In 2003, she enrolled at the Vickie Milazzo Institute and completed the course work and examination to become a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant. Christina has been a registered nurse since 1998 and has worked as a nurse practitioner since 2001. She started her nursing career in the emergency department at Johns Hopkins Hospital. After completing her Masters in 2000, she began practicing as an adult nurse practitioner specializing in cardiology with a large private practice group in New Jersey. From 2004 to 2012 she worked for Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California in outpatient cardiology. In the spring of 2012, she joined San Diego Cardiovascular Associates, a private practice cardiology group, and is working in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Christina started her independent legal nurse consulting business in 2007.
