Yessica Liriano, MHC-LP, earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College, City University of New York. Ms. Liriano also holds a bachelor of arts degree in human biology with a concentration on body, mind and health from Hunter College. Ms. Liriano’s professional experience includes working in outpatient psychiatric care, where she served children, adolescents and families, as well as adults. She has experience working with a range of ethnic and cultural minorities, and the LGBTQ+ community. Ms. Liriano works with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She supports individuals and families with presenting concerns such as anxiety and depression, trauma, family conflicts, and school and social challenges. She has experience working with clients with body image concerns, as well as learning challenges and disabilities, including attention and behavioral concerns. Ms. Liriano creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can bring their authentic selves to be heard, understood, and have their feelings and experiences validated. Her approach is collaborative and integrative, drawing from psychodynamic, person-centered, and cognitive behavioral perspectives. Ms. Liriano empowers clients to work through their driving concerns. She supports clients to achieve their desired goals as they progress through their therapeutic process. Ms. Liriano helps clients develop skills that are critical to exploring and addressing their concerns, facilitating both growth and self-compassion.
