Since the completion of my pre-registration year at the Royal Derby Hospital, I have been practicing as a shift-working clinical pharmacist. This role has allowed me to gain a breadth of clinical experience and developed me both personally and professionally. Some of the specialist clinical areas I have been fortunate enough to gain experience in are respiratory, oncology, neurology, surgery and gastroenterology. During this time I have developed a specialist interest in the treatment of infections; infectious diseases and microbiology and I have now managed to acquire a specialist job in this field.
