She has been practicing medicine for two decades caring for patients and caregivers dealing with conditions such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Mild Cognitive Impairment, Frontotemporal Dementia and Lewy Body Dementia. Dr. Benes is an expert in brain health and brain fitness training for patients dealing with cognitive and behavioral disorders as well as people wanting to boost memory, focus, mental skills, reflexes and acuity. Dr. Benes has extensive experience in clinical procedures such as botulinum toxin injections (migraine headaches, cervical dystonia, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm and spasticity), occipital nerve blocks, trigger point injections as well as on the interpretation of electroencephalograms.
