Common problems include coping with anxiety, depression, and intense stress; panic attacks; personal, academic, or professional challenges; relationship conflict; and adjusting to mental health or neurocognitive diagnosis (e.g., depression, ADHD). It is her aim to help clients understand the root causes of the problem and facilitate effective coping strategies. Skill building plays a significant role in her approach. Clients improve existing relationship dynamics and build self-resilience in order to foster lasting, impactful change. She uses evidence-based interventions, including cognitive-behavioral techniques (such as CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, and neuroscience education. Facilitating an understanding of our behaviors, emotions, and relationships is the first step in identifying our needs as well as unhealthy patterns. Dr. Freier gives her clients the tools to externalize their emotions and set boundaries with compassion. Her academic background is in clinical psychology and neuroscience.
