Dr. Bergman attended Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri where he was part of a Scholars Program in Medicine. After graduating from Washington University School of Medicine in 1986, he did his internship and residency in Pediatrics at St. Louis Children's Hospital. Upon completion, he relocated to South Florida where he has been practicing pediatric and adolescent medicine since 1989 in the West Palm Beach area. He has been a solo practitioner since 1991. Dr. Bergman is an active staff member at Palms West Hospital and Wellington Regional Medical Center. Dr Bergman served as Chairman of Pediatrics at Palms West Hospital from January of 2007 through December of 2008. Dr Bergman has also served as Vice Chief of Maternal Child Health and Section Chief of Pediatrics at Wellington Regional Medical Center in 2001, 2002, 2005 and 2006. More recently Dr. Bergman served as Chief of the Medical Staff at Palms West Hospital from January of 2010 through December of 2011 and then was Chairman of the Medical Peer Review Committee at Palms West Hospital until 2014. He is board certified in pediatrics, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the Palm Beach Pediatric Society. In addition to practicing general pediatrics, Dr. Bergman has abiding interests and strengths in the diagnosis and treatment of Asthma, Attention Deficit Disorder, and nutritional problems. Dr. Bergman is married and resides with his wife and two daughters in the community. He plays an active role in community affairs and activities, especially those relating to children and adolescents.
