Biography
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years experience practicing in Manhattan, and recently added a SI office. I am interested in helping people manage everyday life stress (particularly in their relationships and career), life changes and crisis in a relaxed, supportive environment. I utilize an interactive eclectic approach to psychotherapy tailored to the individual needs of the client. While taking into account the client's upbringing, history, and culture, the therapy is usually very present-oriented and focused on the current concerns and stressors the client is facing.
Trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, I utilize aspects of various modalities depending upon individual needs. I specialize in stress management; relationship issues; anxiety; women's issues and life changes. Creative outlets, mindfulness, and goal oriented skills are utilized towards stress reduction, increased productivity, and personal fulfillment.
Unique to my approach is that I factor in cultural and creative influences such as art, music, media and literature, and individual personality style. Stress reduction and adaptation are a common focus due to the current pandemic utilizing mindfulness, positive psychology, character strengths, creative outlets and bullet journaling.
