Lais is a Brazilian native who moved to the United States in 2007. Lais went to nursing school in Iowa and has been working as a nurse since 2011. She was the first receiver of the SIHK scholarship at Mercy College of Health Sciences and graduated on the President’s list with her Baccalaureate of Nursing Science at Chamberlain University. Lais holds a Urologic Nurse Certification through CBUNA and has worked in Urology since 2013. Lais currently fulfills the multifaceted role of Director of Operations for the Urology Center of Iowa. She was an intricate member of UCI’s inception and implementation and is of great value in their day-to-day operations, development, improvement, and growth. With a passion for engaging, coaching, and motivating the staff, Lais ensures her team members provide compassionate, world-class urological care. Lais has demonstrated leadership skills in interacting and influencing all levels of the organization and has a strong track record of achieving results. She is process-oriented and focuses on continual learning to advance efficiencies and overall operations of the practice.
