My name is Rochelle DiConti and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Substance Use Disorder Professional. I graduated from Eastern Washington University with my Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. I am a conservative Christian counselor and I specialize in work with codependency, problematic relationships, assertiveness training, and addiction treatment with help from 12 Step principles. My approach I primarily use DBT and CBT therapies, but also utilize several other therapeutic approaches. I rely heavily on Biblical and 12 Step principles. My focus Currently I work mostly with ladies in difficult relationships or those working on recovering from codependency and/or addiction. However, I have a wide variety of experience in treating trauma, psychosis, depression, anxiety, autism, etc. I have an extensive history in working with military families. My communication style I have a very direct communication style and do not believe in beating around the bush, but I have worked hard to present this in a soft and warm manor that's easy to digest and meets you wherever you're at in your journey. I have an easy going and calm style. If you choose to work with me, please be prepared for appropriately timed humor and nerd references that will make concepts and tools easier to grasp and remember. My journey to mental healthcare I'm passionate about my work because I come from a family of dysfunction, where addiction and chronic mental illness were left untreated and left to wreak havoc on everything and everyone around it. I decided life would be different for my own family and the 12 Steps and trauma therapy saved my life. I'm here to pass that on to others. My goals for you I use SMART goal setting with clients, which makes follow through more likely. The acronym stands for specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-oriented.
