My name is Dainerys Hernandez, and I am an LMHC dedicated to humanism and a vocation for service. Therapy is a powerful path to self-knowledge, helping to redefine problems as opportunities for learning and growth. Entering the path of therapy requires courage, commitment, and a willingness to engage fully. Only then can one see meaningful results. My therapeutic approach is cognitive-behavioral and holistic and also incorporates mindfulness practices. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors, which is supported by extensive clinical research demonstrating its effectiveness in treating a wide range of psychological issues. The holistic aspect of my approach considers the whole person, including physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Mindfulness practices are integrated to help clients stay present, reduce stress, and increase self-awareness. Research shows that mindfulness can enhance emotional regulation and decrease symptoms of anxiety and depression. By combining these methodologies, my approach not only addresses immediate concerns but also promotes long-term mental health and well-being. As a professional, I have experience in treating issues related to self-esteem, grief, relationship problems, anxiety, depression, vocational issues, burnout, trauma, and family issues. As a mental health professional, I implement active listening, and assertive communication, and create a safe space for clients to communicate their needs. These communication styles are integral to fostering trust, understanding, and effective therapeutic outcomes. I firmly believe that a good life is a process, not a state of being—a direction, not a destination. I believe that every human being has the superpower to create their own destiny. Sometimes we find ourselves in a dark place and just need someone to show us the light that is already within us.
