I strive to make therapy a safe place for them to process their emotions and reactions to difficult changes in their lives. My communication style I strive to create a supportive and empathetic environment for my clients. In order to have a successful therapeutic relationship, I work on establishing rapport and trust with my clients. In my work, I blend different approaches and tailor interventions according to the client's needs. For example, I may utilize some psychodynamic approaches in addition to CBT techniques where I help clients through exercises in sessions and out of sessions to develop coping skills. My journey to mental healthcare Caring for others is in my DNA as an older sibling in my family who immigrated to the USA as a teenager. I have been told all my life that I have really great listening and problem-solving skills. With positive reinforcement from family and friends, I pursued counseling as a career. I started seeing children/teens as a novice therapist, working in schools and providing support to teachers who worked with challenging students.
