“If the only tool you have in life is a hammer, everything looks like a nail!” Therapy is not for “weak” and “sick” people but can be an excellent way to fill your “toolbox,” with skills to improve relationships, communicate more effectively, manage stress, emotions, and challenge life transitions. Therapy provides a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space in which you can develop skills, insights, and inspirations, leaving you feeling more empowered in many areas of your life. My training comes from 15+ years of experience in hospitals, treatment programs, correctional facilities, and private practice. I will assist you in developing insights as well as learning Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy strategies. I work with many other evidence-based techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, and EFT tapping to reduce stress, improve focus, and restore balance to your life and your relationships. My goal is to provide empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental environment that will help you learn to strengthen your coping skills. I work with adults struggling with life transitions, chronic pain, negative self-talk, anxiety, depression, stress management, and substance abuse.
