I am a Latinx, mother, educator, Bilingual Spanish Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor in the state of California. My approach I use an eclectic approach involving different theoretical orientations. The most common theoretical approaches I use are Cognitive Behavioral, Family systemic, EFT, ACT, EMDR, DBT, Solution Focus, Attachment focus, Client-Centered strategies, and Mindfulness approaches. My focus Issues that I address in therapy range from trauma and emotional distress, issues with relationships, domestic violence, depression, low self-esteem, anxiety-related challenges, ADHD, academic challenges, and acculturation. I have specific education and training in the treatment of children and adolescents. My own childhood challenges with ADHD became my professional strength and guided me to develop a comprehensive treatment combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, play therapy, mindfulness, and art expressive techniques). My communication style I am a Culturally aware therapist with strong ethical values. I am friendly and respectful. As a mental health clinician, I use my warmth and acceptance to create a safe environment in the therapeutic process. I offer a trustful relationship based on acceptance and unconditional regard. I am patient, with a good sense of humor and love for life. My journey to therapy I have 25 years working in the Social Work field. From an early age, I was fascinated with the power of transformation and self-healing. As a Trauma survivor, I like to show others the strategies to achieve individual, social, and professional goals. Hope and action. I was also an early childhood educator and an artist.
