I am a fellowship trained knee and hip specialist, with interests in both arthroplasty and sports surgery, as well as general orthopaedic trauma. I graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2001 with MBBS and a BSc in Neuroscience. Following basic surgical training in the London region I received my Orthopaedic training on the prestigious Bristol rotation, gaining the FRCS(Orth) in 2012. After a year of specialist arthoplasty training at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre, I undertook an AOA Accredited fellowship in Perth, Western Australia under the supervision of Professor Riaz Khan and Professor Daniel Fick. I moved to Torbay Hospital, Devon to take up a substantive Lower Limb Arthroplasty Consultant position in March 2015. After 4 and a half years in Devon I decided to leave the South West to return to my native South East London. After a competitive interview I was appointed as a Consultant Knee Surgeon at University Hospital Lewisham. My private practice is based at the BMI Blackheath and BMI The Sloane Hospitals. As well as my clinical activity I have strong interests in both teaching and research. I hold a PgCert in Medical Education from the University of Bristol. I am involved in undergraduate examining for KCL medical students and have recently supervised an elective student. I have recently been appointed as a Honorary Senior Lecturer at Kings College London in recognition for my work in supporting medical students. I am involved in medicolegal work with a primary focus on personal injury cases at present, particularly injuries around the hip.
