My name is Khalid Ahmed and I am currently working as a Superintendent Pharmacist and Director for Your UK Pharmacy which is based in the north west of England. In my employment career I have been a Pharmacy Manager for Sainsbury and Moss Pharmacy in Manchester Since obtaining my Masters in Pharmacy at Portsmouth University I have actively searched to take the course to the future as Pharmacy is constantly changing. I have sat on Committees in the south region (Wessex pharmaceutical committee) and gave criticism as well as constructive remarks and suggestions when needed. I am currently an active Local Practice Forum (LPF) member as well as a nominated candidate for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. During November 2011 I organised alongside the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, the Pharmacy Ball in Manchester where we celebrated the first anniversary of its existence since the de-merger. The event was very successful with special guest from the RPS President and the Treasurer. I am also part of the executive assembly for the Pharmacy Defence Association (PDA) and also the chair for the Employee's committee where I provide support, feedback and representation on behalf of the employed pharmacist of the PDA.
