Working in a pharmacy has given me valuable experience in managing data and information. As a pharmacy assistant, I had to maintain records of medication orders, inventory, and customer information. This required a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, as any mistakes could have serious consequences. Additionally, during my university degree, I gained further experience in data management through coursework and research projects. I learned how to effectively organise, analyse, and present data using various software programs such as Excel and SPSS. These skills have been transferable to other areas of my life and have helped me become more efficient in managing information in a variety of contexts. I am particularly drawn to the position due to my strong interest in science, technology, and engineering problems. Through my academic studies, I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities associated with engineering design, experimental process, the development or improvement of manufacturing processes, development of new products and improvement to existing products. My university-based experience has also equipped me with the ability to swiftly adapt to and learn about different industry sectors, such as automotive, aerospace, civil, defence, food& drink, life sciences, electronics, and have strong business acumen. In my dissertation research, I gained extensive experience in laboratory techniques such as harvesting cells, subculturing tissues, and working with PCRs and plasmid mini preps kits. I am confident that this experience, along with my attention to detail and strong analytical skills, will allow me to excel in a laboratory setting. In addition to my laboratory expertise, I have also developed a strong background in scientific writing. As an author of multiple research projects, I am well-versed in interpreting data and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner. Moreover, I pride myself on my ability to interact readily with other technical professionals, my great interpersonal skills and my ability to excel concise summary of information. I believe that these skills will enable me to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.
