I have recently completed a master’s degree in occupational therapy (Pre-registration), and previously completed an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience. During my postgraduate, I was fortunate to gain a variety of experience with a number of services during placement. These services included Tourette Scotland, Fife Social Work Occupational Therapy service, Lynebank Forensic Adult Learning Disability service and Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary (surgical, stroke, delayed discharge, combined assessment unit). I also have experience caring for vulnerable adults through my prior positions as a disability support worker for Quarriers and day care volunteer for Alzheimer's Scotland. Lastly, I previously took part in a volunteering program with the organisation VESA (Volunteer Eco Student Abroad), which involved taking part in a sustainable community development programme within a local Fijian village (Nakelo). This involved repainting the local school and playing interactive games with the children to improve their English. I also aided a turtle conservation project which involved the cleaning, feeding and the release of turtles as well as the survey and protection of a coral reef.
