I have over 20 years experience in hospital pharmacy. Originally completing my post graduate diploma and residency for 2 years. This involved rotations through multiple specialties, medicines information and the aseptics unit. I then moved in to a clinical pharmacist role in medical admissions. I completed my independent prescribing qualification in 2008. In 2009 I moved into a principal pharmacist role developing and managing the pharmacy admissions and discharge team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. I have had over 13 years experience in this role, I have highly developed management skills and experience, excellent team working and collaborative working demonstrated both inside and outside the trust. I have involvement on various committees including resus committee, LOS, NICE topic expert for acute medicine, and medicine safety committee. My area of interest is acute medicine. I am a members of the society of acute medicine (SAM)
