I am an integrative accredited counsellor and use both psychodynamic and person-centred approaches in my work as well as incorporating other tools and methods if I feel they would be valuable to the client. I offer face to face, online and telephone therapy. I believe in the individual's ability to grow and develop in the way that is best for them and I place great importance on the quality of relationship between the Client and the Counsellor. I believe that if a client experiences, warmth, empathy and a non-judgemental attitude within an honest, trusting and secure environment they will be empowered to grow and change aspects of their life that they are unhappy with. As an Accredited member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) I am bound by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. The framework includes a commitment to regular supervision of my work as a counsellor. I have an ongoing commitment to continued professional development and seek to further my skills as a counsellor. I have been working for the NHS since 2012 and have progressed to senior counsellor. I have been in private practice since 2014. I work with many presenting issues. I specialise in working with bereavement and I have also trained in Trauma Focused Therapy.
