I believe that having the time to explore our troubles in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment can have a really positive impact on our lives. This is why I have chosen to become a counsellor, after ten years in business and a further ten years as a teacher. Each client’s experience is different and I have worked with people with a variety of different troubles, including sexual, physical and emotional abuse, experience of coercive control, difficult family or relationship experience, low self-esteem, depression and anxiety. The counselling approach I take is person-centred. Only you can experience your life the way you experience it and therefore I will not judge or evaluate or offer advice. Instead, I hope to facilitate my clients' exploration of what it is that is troubling them, so that they can feel more comfortable with themselves and their lives and can decide for themselves, what is best for them.
