Working in the health and social care field for over six years, I am passionate about ensuring people get the right care in a safe manner. Through my current and previous occupations, I have developed a great eye for detail and problem-solving. I am adept at communicating with people of varying ages and backgrounds. I feel comfortable leading projects and teams and always work towards achieving the aims and objectives set out at commencement of any project. My First-Class Honours undergraduate degree and postgraduate study, along with my extra-curricular undertakings have led to five years of social research experience in the academic, public and voluntary sector. I have led research and community projects in the following areas: - health (specialising in cancer, mental health, dementia and disability studies) - gender and embodiment studies - race and ethnicity - cultural studies - politics (British National, European and International politics) I am also interested in: - policy-making (British national policy-making and evaluations, health-oriented policy-analyses) - social activism Highly advanced in Qualitative Research, and have accomplished proficiency in the use of social research softwares including NVivo, SPSS and STATA.
