I have worked in the Pharmacy industry for almost 15 years, doing various different job roles from dispensing and prescription deliveries to qualifying as a Pharmacy Technician almost 5 years ago and now working in Primary Care. My role over the last few years in Primary Care has evolved into holding my own clinics with patients. Most of this work consists of inviting patients in to discuss their cholesterol and/or cardiovascular risk and offering them a lipid lowering therapy. I am currently trying to spread the word about all of the lipid work that I am doing for my surgeries to inspire other Technicians to give it a go. I also recorded a podcast with Specialist Pharmacy Service about my lipid clinics back in October 2022 and have a few little projects in the pipeline so watch this space.
