Dr. Borok is a board-certified dermatologist with a focus on pediatric, medical and cosmetic dermatology. She is committed to providing excellent care to patients of all ages. Dr. Borok completed her undergraduate and Doctor of Medicine degrees at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She also earned a Master of Advanced Studies in Clinical Research from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Borok furthered her training with an Internal Medicine Internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She then pursued a Dermatology Residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Borok then completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Dermatology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital/Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Borok takes pride in building strong relationships with her patients. She prioritizes effective communication and take the time to educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options. Dr. Borok understands the unique needs of pediatric patients and strives to create a comfortable and reassuring environment for them. Dr. Borok is actively involved in dermatological research and has made significant contributions to the field. She has published manuscripts on the treatment of infantile hemangiomas, acne and eczema. Dr. Borok demonstrates leadership and a commitment to serving others. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology's Access to Dermatologic Care Committee, where she advocates for improved access to dermatological care and raises awareness about health disparities. Dr. Borok has also volunteered her time and expertise at organizations such as Camp Wonder, providing essential dermatologic care and emotional support for children suffering from severe skin diseases.
