I have spent my career transforming emergency nursing care and improving processes. Specific emphasis on nursing administration, leadership development, professional and organization development, education, and direct patient care. During my career at the nation’s number one urban pediatric tertiary hospital, I had opportunities to delivery clinical excellence; inspire leaders while coaching and mentoring novice nurses. My areas of expertise include emergency nursing, throughput, patient flow and efficiency, process improvement, and change management. Specific education and experience in disaster preparation with bio-terrorism training. Strengths include creating small internal team structures to improve workflow and efficiency processes: assessing technical solutions; and implementation systems designed to improve patient outcomes, safety and accuracy. Recent experiences include; emergency department designs and re-designs and physical plant layouts. Well respected nursing leader who builds staff capability through talent assessments, recruiting and hiring to competency needs and solid retention strategies.
