Being an Advanced Practitioner Pharmacist has further strengthened my clinical knowledge enabling me to be a great tutor and mentor for my team and other Pharmacists. I can influence best practice within the business and the wider pharmacy world, being known for my expertise and commitment to Pharmacy both internally within Boots and also within my local community. I am also part of the first PDAU network in place at Boots. Following the recognition agreement signed by the PDA Union and Boots, the PDAU has now established a network of PDAU representatives to represent the circa 7,000 pharmacists and pre-registration trainees employed at the company. I work closely with the other regional representatives across the country and will also hold a seat on the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC). As part of my role I also act as the Health and Safety representative, as well as Grievance and Disciplinary officer, helping individual PDAU members to resolve disputes at work “Earlier, more locally and together”. https://www.the-pda.org/earlier-more-locally-and-together/
