As a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) my job is to work with clients, couples, and families to help them understand and overcome the breakdown of communication, emotional and behavioral challenges that can lead to problems in family units. As an MFT, my ultimate goal is to strive to help families understand the root causes of family systems breakdowns. As a husband, father, partner, and military veteran, I have extensive experience working with diverse cultures. My background includes working with Veterans with PTSD and their family members, as well as individuals, couples, and families to overcome temporary disagreements.I am experienced in Chemical Dependency Counseling, adolescence, LBGTQ+ and crisis counseling. I work with clients to share their own unique stories and aid in reshaping them to overcome negative “thoughts, feelings, and behaviors,” with the use of Narrative and Solution focused talk therapy techniques and interventions.I strive to make therapy as accessible as possible through providing affordable, flexible, and convenient counseling sessions online and in-person. I believe counselors share one common goal, providing relief to people who may be struggling with mental health issues or disorders. In order to help people, you must be able to relate to people where “they” are.
