Upon finishing his three-year medical and surgical residency training program, Dr. Harrill worked with the Indian Health Service in Sacaton, Arizona, with the Pima Indians. This tribe has the highest incidence of diabetes in the world and consequently Dr. Harrill gained broad experience in managing diabetic foot problems. Dr. Harrill has also been training new physicians for over 10 years in private practice and with the Baja Project for Crippled Children. He is an examiner for the board certification process and is himself triple board-certified in podiatric medicine, surgery of the foot, rear foot and ankle, and wound care. Drs. Maling and Harrill were classmates in medical school and have known each other for nearly 20 years.
