Since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist in 2000, I have worked with a variety of organisations, such as the NHS, Social Services, housing associations, charities and the private sector. Clients have included adults and the elderly with a variety of complex conditions, including those with learning disabilities. Although I have extensive knowledge of home assessments, rehabilitation programmes, equipment, aids and adaptations, my main area of specialism is as a Sensory Integration Practitioner with adults with Learning Disabilities. In addition I am a qualified AMPS assessor (Assessment of Motor and Processing Skills), offering the facility to produce reports on a person’s ability to carry out day to day activities.
